Abstract

Hippuritella sharwaynensis sp. nov. is described from the Maastrichtian (Sharwayn Formation) of Yemen; this species also occurs in the lower part of the Auradu limestones in northern Somalia, from where two badly preserved specimens were odentified as Hippuritella sp. gr.
